Most are generally harmless or even helpful, yet in certain situations these organisms may cause harmful diseases, infectious diseases. Pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi are the main culprits for the cause of infectious diseases.
There are many ways you can get an infectious disease. Some can be passed from person to person, Some are spread by a bite from an insect or an animal. While others can be transmitted by ingesting contaminated food or water or the exposure to organisms in the environment.
