One of the top hypnotic entertainers in the world will be at Mid-Plains Community College campuses in North Platte and McCook this month.
Jim Wand will perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the McDonald-Belton Theater on the North Platte Community College South Campus. He will perform at 10 p.m. that same night at the Weeth Theater at McCook Community College. Both events are free and open to the public, courtesy of the student life departments on each campus.
According to his biography, Wand has made more than 9,000 appearances in the U.S. and eight foreign countries. He is a regular at casinos, clubs, colleges and corporate events. Over 95 percent of his bookings are repeat and referral engagements, and each performance is custom designed to meet the needs of the audience in attendance.
Wand has been involved with hypnosis for more than 30 years and has a Ph.D. in the field of psychology.
