Nebraska soccer scores early, but Northwestern's three-goal flurry nets win

LINCOLN — Nebraska grabbed a lead 39 seconds into Thursday's match at Hibner Stadium and added another goal one second before halftime.

But Northwestern scored three times in the first half and added another after halftime in a 4-2 win over the Huskers.

Reagan Raabe gave Nebraska a quick lead with her goal in the opening minute. After Northwestern scored three times in a 22-minute span for a 3-1 lead, Abbey Schwarz converted a corner kick with one second left to pull Nebraska within one at halftime.

But that's as close as the Huskers would get.

Northwestern added a goal in the 70th minute. The Wildcats scored on four of their seven shots on goal.

Next up Nebraska, plays at Michigan on Sunday.
